Hiiiiiiiii! ;D

I shall finally (after-more-than-two-weeks) blog about my super-di-splendid trip to Delhi, Jaipur and Agra! Get ready 'cos it's going to get very lengthy... (for memory's sake)

Before that, just a little about India first. It's winter time there now, but no snow though. It's about 14 degrees and 10 degrees towards the end of our trip. Their time difference is about 2 1/2 hours behind us (: & oh yeah, there were 6 girls from CGS that went. The other 12 students were from SJI and VS. Okay so I shall start now!


It was more of just a plane ride to India since our flight was a night flight. After bidding farewell to family and friends who came down (thanks for sending us off! ;D), we were getting to know each other. Since there was 6 of us from different classes, we introduced ourselves while waiting to get on board.

Camwhored, hehe typical girls~, and chatted with Mr Muthi, the teacher that accompanied us there. Then found out that we were split and had to sit with the other schools. So my plane ride partners were Aravin and Berwin, yeah it was according to alphaebatical order. Although we completely didn't know each other before that, we talked for almost the whole plane ride... no kidding! Watched movies and played "Who wants to be a millionare". I think I've never laughed so much in a plane ride before, they were hilarious! Haha. & they really fed us well had ice-cream for supper after our quite heavy dinner. Haha. 6 hours later, we landed in Delhi and was kindly greeted by our Delhi guide.

Had pretty garlands on and since it was night time, we checked in to our hotels to sleeeeeeep. Got to know some of the people from the other schools and no, they didn't make us feel any better by reminding us that there was a window in our room :/ Heh.

Room partner was Gauhrie and thank you so much for helping me out with my luggage! Apparently, we couldn't open it for 45 mins... serious! Our fingers were aching so much and I'm still so touched. Thank you Gauhrie (L)

We were up and going by 730.

Had breakfast at the rooftop... whoo! It was wow (: Bonded more with my schoolmates and then off for sightseeing ;D First stop was a mosque. We couldn't bring our cameras in though. Then... a tomb. That was where the girls discovered alyssa's talent of group professional shoot! (hehe inside joke sorry!)

We passed by the India gate and off for lunch at Waves. Yummy! We had ice-cream babehhh! haha. Took a cool shot outside haha and then more of sightseeing.

We went to the "Might of Islam" or something like that. Huge and nice place. Took many group photos there and then vroom to the Lotus Temple.

Initially, only Mr Chan and Kevin wanted to go in but in the end, all the students including Mr Chan went in. It's a place for meditation and prayers. So, when we went in... no one could make a single noise. We couldn't talk and even had to try and prevent from coughing! After 3 mins, we went out and yeah... finally could hear everyone talking again. Haha. Drove off to the Humayun's Tomb. Because of this, the Taj Mahal came about.

Yeah, this was its inspiration uh. We thought it was getting quite late but it was only 5+ haha. Winter time yknow? The whole group started talking more and at dinner, Mr Chan made us sit in such a way that, every table has people from all three schools. Tablemates were, Gauhrie, Kevin, Aik Tien, Nathan and Berwin.

We were quite quiet but we probably took the most photos! ;D After dinner, our respective buddies fetched us for the homestay. Yes, I admit, I was pretty scared + nervous especially after finding out that mine was 1-to-1. =O But Thank God, my buddy was Rhea! ;D

She came down to Singapore for the exchange programme this year so I kind of know her(: Phew! Found out her house had a dog. They made sure that the dog wouldn't come close to me.. awww so sweet right? ;D Talked a hell lot at night (hehe) and then off to bed.

Attended school at MSVV! Took the schoolbus there, cool experience okay ;D

Met up with my friends~ Haha. Then omg so scary, we had to go on stage and introduce ourselves one by one. Funny how we were initially known as Crescent Institute haha! That day, the teacher in-charge of us from MSVV brought us for a little more sightseeing.

It's called Temple Place (something along those lines) (:

& then went shopping at Delhi Heart! Till this very day, I keep chidding myself for not spending a little more there. 'Cos apparently, that was the only place I went shopping! HAHA. Really cheap stuff yknow. Bought Masque stuff from there too (L) After all that, we were sent back to school to head home with our buddies. Had lunch at home, chicken briyani ;D , and then Rhea made me signed up for facebook! Tsk! Haha. Went to this big shopping mall (forgot it's name!), but no, I didn't shop :/

Haha! Bought Crusher though and it's nice ;D Something like Milo Freeze(: Walked around a little more and omg... I did something or rather, called someone and made her freak out like abcdefg! Hehe. So the whole car ride home, she was so freaked out and I couldn't stop laughing. It's not a bad thing yknow cos after a while, she started jumping for joy and thanking me for doing that. Your welcome! hahaha. Aww mann, I miss that day): Okay so after much jumping around in her room for another 2 hours, we went off to her cousin's pre-wedding party ;DD

It's considered quite grand for a pre-wedding party! I was quite underdressed though. Hehe.

Then left there quite early around 11.30 since there was school the next day.

Woken up by Buddy, the dog's, barking. Haha. My host mommy woke up just to say goodbye.. aww. Thank you! & Nana (Rhea's grandfather) took a picture with me! ;D haha.

Off to school by taking the schoolbus again. & met up with friends. Experienced their school life and since they had sports day the next day, they had a trial run on that day. We had to march around their field, were the "singapore contingent" (haha so cool uh!),

then some of them took part in the relay

while some of us were in the "cheer-leading" team! HAHA. Followed by our Farewell Lunch. Ahhh I was so close to tears okay): Hugged Rhea and gave her her farewell present.

Took me forever to give her 'cos she kept declining it. Heh. & then, VCI camwhored thanks to me hahaha!

& off we went for our 5hour bus ride ;D It wasn't so bad actually! Everyone talked about what they did with their buddies and the girls went shopping while most of the guys went to adventure island. Passed around cameras and mp3s and then fi-na-lly we reached Jaipur! We had dinner at this place where the Wedding Festival was taking place so we caught a glimpse of fireworks! So nice huh, dinner with fireworks? haha. Drove to the hotel and did our own school reflections and then all of us crashed Aravin's room.

Told stupid ghost stories and played truth or dare. & as Berwin put it "We officially broke the ice today" Haha. VCI (L)


I wore the angklung shirt okay ;D Whoo! Okay so on this day we did sightseeing in Jaipur(: OKAY IT WAS THE DAY, 7 OF US HAD THE ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME! ;DD Although it was pretty scary. So anyway, first we saw the gates that resembles their God's crown.

& then drove a little more and then we took the elephant up to the Palace!

(hahaha omg the trip to the palace is like theeee highlight) So we walked around and took pretty pictures and then afterwards,

our Jaipur guide gave us 10min to walk around the Queen's area. So 7 excited kids namely, Mrunal, Shona, Gauhrie, Chee Yang, Kevin, Aravin and I, walked together and found this dark alley. Obviously some of us would freak out but thanks to somebody (EHEM hahaha) we ended up walking through it.

& somehow, when we tried retracing our steps... we were LOST! HAHA. For the first 10-15 mins, we were all still all laughs and chirpy. So positive and all but as time ticked away, our heart beat faster. We kept going in and out of rooms and alleys it was SOOOO SCARY! Chee Yang and Shona recorded our experience. & *ehem* how did we get out you may say? Well, "ehem" I found this passageway but obviously, didn't dare to go to it. & so, Kevin and Chee Yang went off and then started shouting "WE FOUND IT! WE FOUND IT" and omg we were over the moon mann! Words couldn't describe how happy we all were to find our way out. But our 30-45 min lost adventure was still amazing and ironically, the best part of the trip for me(: Haha! Okay then after that we took a jeep down(: Whoo! Followed by a short visit to the Lake Palace.

Pretty place(: After that we went to this sundial place. The sundial was freaking huge! hahaha. Our day ended off way too early so we got back to the hotel and crashed Aravin's room again. After dinner we watched this puppet show, it was quite sick actually. Haha then at night, we played Truth/Truth (haha) and Charades! Their charades was damn biased ah especially for mine. Tsk! Marcus and I were given the movie, Hancock (go figure) Boo! Hahaha. Moved back at 3am to catch some sleep(:


This was bus ride day to Agra! Started off our journey at 9am and we were noisy initially but one by one everyone started sleeping. Sat with nurul for this bus ride and *ehem* this particular song was on repeat eh? haha.

Awww... ;D Went for lunch and then they saw puppets! HAHA. Yes, Jiachen we all knew it was you okay xP Pretty obvious actually (tall dude!) haha. Continued our journey to Agra. We passed by the non-city area and saw little kids playing at the fields. It's really pretty yknow (: About 2 hours later, we reached and went to the Palace.

200 unofficial wives mann, wow! We took a lot of group photos but we forgot the banner, AGAIN! Haha. & we saw a Singapore school there! (heh random) Took a picture at the HUGE gate.

& after that continued our journey to our hotel. So each school had one deluxe room for PARTY at night. Hahaha. At night, after dinner, we celebrated Shona's, Thanaraj's and Nathan's birthday ;D Plus the teachers crashed JC's room with a birthday cake!! So awesome huh? Did own school reflections so the girls did our recording... (omg girls~ I'm laughing at our first day reflection recording if you get what I mean EHEM) followed by a little slacking and then it was time to resume our partehhhh! The 18 of us crashed JC's room again and basically talked, tried playing charades, watched Hindi Movie and ate a lot! Then Marcus wanted to tell the girls something (gossip tsk!) but one by one everyone started flooding in. & resulting to 13 people sleeping in one room =O

Nurul, Gauhrie, Mrunal and I slept on the couch (not in picture xP) and we were like battery hens! Plus we all slept in the same position so cool! hahaha.


Woke up early to head off to the Taj Mahal ;D

It's so pretty omg! Since my camera had so much memory space left, I spammed it with Taj Mahal's photos(: Took a whole VCI + Teachers photo in front of it ;D

(picture's not of good quality 'cos it's a picture of a picture) After that we head off to this pottery place.

Bought a Taj Mahal plaque there after much contemplation hahaha. Drove off to our last destination, to the Agra fort. Some incident happened but oh well. Anyway, we finally took a picture with the banner ;D haha.

Then bus ride back took forever but it was worth it! We talked a hell lot and played truth/truth (yet again) and so after about 6-7 hours later, we reached the airport. Omg we were all so sad mann and then the guys found out that I was a councillor (slow mann haha!) They didn't believe me because they think I'm too lame to be one :/ but Mrs Lim backed me up! WHOO! Haha. After that we boarded our 5 hour plane ride home, it's shorter than us going to India. Heh. Sat in between Nurul and Berwin and that Nurul ditched me for lalaland the WHOLE plane ride! Even after asking her to play "Who wants to be a Millionare" with me :/ Hahaha. So watched a movie about Teens and then talked a lot to Berwin. He can be so pessimistic tsk! & we realised everyone else were sleeping so we decided to join lalaland 1 hour before the plane landed. Haha.

& that was it... it was the end of the best overseas school trip everrrr! Thankfully though, we make sure that we're still in contact and that we have meet-ups ;D Ohmann, VCI is so awesome ;DD

Mrunal- The whole VCI owes you big time for being the best Hindi translator! haha. You're a fashionista babehhh! ;D
Gauhrie- Our 2nd overseas trip together and partners yet again. Omg I can't wait for next year, love ;DD

Thanaraj- Joker! I still remember that silly expression that made all of us cracked up! HAHA

JC- Another really sick one but you know where to draw the line so Kuddos! Haha
Aravin- First VCI (other than cgs of course) friend and fine I share a different sense of humour hahaha. Its cool that way okay!
